New Nurse, Old Problems
I'm barely three months into this gig and already feel like I'm sinking. Maybe it's the new grad imposter syndrome talking, but it's tough as hell out here. Between catching up to speed, juggling a million responsibilities and dealing with the ever-ready critics, I'm second-guessing everything. Is it just me or did anybody else out there feel like this at the start? How do you get past this feeling?
What exactly are you feeling overwhelmed by? The skills or the emotional toll? Or both?
Been there, done that. It gets better, promise.
You think it's hard now? Wait till you're swamped with 12-hour shifts and demanding patients. Buckle up, this is just the tip of the iceberg.
