Is This Even Legal?
Found out I'm making 10k less than a coworker who started with me. Same experience, education, role. But suddenly, I'm wearing the 'cheaper' scrubs? Where's our pay transparency? The silence from admin is deafening... anyone else find their own pay gap horror story? How do you even bring this up without shooting yourself in the foot?
Same experience here, and it stung. Took me a while to build up the courage but I did address it with management. They gave me the whole 'individual performance' spiel.
Equal work deserves equal pay. Period. It's ridiculous that in this day and age, we're still fighting for this.
How did you find out about the difference? Seems like pay info is always under lock and key.
