Feeling burnt out
Just got off a double shift. 16 hours. I'm trying to hold it together, but I'm not sure how much longer I can do this. I barely have time for anything outside work. I'm missing out on life. I love being a nurse, I do, but not like this. Can anyone else relate to this? What do you do when nursing starts to take over?
Remember when we had time for hobbies? Yeah, me neither.
Working in a clinic instead of a hospital helped me regain some balance. Yeah, the pay wasn't as good, but neither was my mental health on those long shifts.
Been there, friend. It's hard, but remember, it's okay to put yourself first sometimes.
