Why is it that I never get a holiday off? I mean, sure, I knew the job demands when I signed up, but seeing Christmas lights from the hospital window isn't exactly the way I envisioned spending my holidays. Absolutely brutal. Any of you got better holiday plans?
Same boat. I've watched the ball drop through the hospital's TV for three years straight.
I hear you, it's rough. But remember, we're there for patients who'd give anything to be home. It's tough but fulfilling.
I once spent New Year's Eve in the pediatric ward. We threw a mini party for the kids. Not the same, but still memorable.
