The Pay Gap Sting
So, I couldn't help overhearing in the break room... a coworker, who started at the same time as me and with the same qualifications, is making significantly more than I am. I've always been a team player, put in the hours, done everything asked of me... and here's the thanks I get. It stings, ya know? Anyone else been in this boat?
Been there, done that. But I got bold and addressed it directly, ended up getting a raise.
I hate to be that person, but are you absolutely sure about their pay? Gossips can be quite misleading sometimes.
Can you confirm that their responsibilities are exactly the same as yours? Pay can differ based on job role, even if the qualifications are identical.
