Travel Nurse Dilemma
Just got offered a travel nursing contract in Alaska - $80/hour, housing and travel covered. Sounds like a dream, right? But I'd be leaving my husband and kids behind for 13 weeks. They say they can handle it, but I'm not so sure. Has anyone else made this kind of sacrifice? Was it worth it?
I did a 14-week stint in Minnesota. Felt guilty leaving the hubby, but the experience was priceless. Plus, that cash helped us big time.
Are there any options for them to visit you during your contract?
13 weeks? You sure it's not 3 months? Kidding, but seriously, double-check the details. Sometimes they're not as rosy as they seem.
