Daylight Robbery
Just found out the new grad working nights on my unit is making more than me. And I've been on this floor for 6 years. Who’s idea was this? Honestly, I'm seething right now. Anyone else discovered something similar and what did you do?
Same boat here. 3 years on the unit, new hires making more. Something’s gotta give.
It's not right, but it's no surprise. Hospitals are desperate for staff, so new grads are being offered more to attract them.
When I found out a newbie was earning more, I went straight to my manager. She didn't know, and managed to get me a raise. Maybe try that?
